Horse Hill and Giles Long

August 5, 2012 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
It rained this morning, so it was bearable to run in the afternoon. Last few runs, my legs have felt tired and sore. I still had to get in a long this week. I probably could have mapped out a better route... I started at the plantations, went up horsehill, past golf course through hasbrouck, down through campus to wyckoff to the High school. Then I went into a Giles, but at the theory center went up through campus back to the plantations. From the beginning, my legs were feeling tired. The hills ended up hitting me a lot harder than I would have though. The whole first part of this run is downhill, and I guess that felt ok, but coming back up Giles, I was toast. My legs felt thrashed, I had to walk across some intersections. My cardio didnt feel all that tired, my legs just felt very very heavy. Overall a tough run because of that. Made for a slow and slugish pace. Literally chugged my entire water bottle when I got back. Humid out, sweat a lot. I kinda rained in the middle, which made it even more muggy.

Essentials: Stretch, L7, ice in creek, roll

Very tired when I got back so I just wanted to sit. Stretched a little, just to get the soreness out. I sat in Flat Rock for 10 minutes to cool down. The water was actually pretty warm, but it felt really good. Easy day tomorrow to get my legs back. No particular part is hurting, then are just have been so sore lately. I also havnt done abs in a while, get back to that next week.
