Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Up and out before 0545. Didn't sleep well: heat and malaise. Half-slept on the way up.
Had significant gut rot all day: deuced x3 before I left, then once before we started the run, just before 730.
Kept it easy on the east end of the trail. It wasn't too cool, but I felt cold. Overall I just felt SICK -as I had all weekend: cold, no energy, nasty gut rot.
I felt OK running to North Waldo, but I stopped to deuce again. From there we continued on, me leading and keeping a conservative pace. I tried to enjoy myself and the scenery, but I felt brutal. My feet were also super sore, which added injury to insult.
The rest of the run: intermittent gut rot, another deuce stop (about mile 14), and a lot of suffering, even though the pace was light. Completed the 20.5 mi loop in 3hrs.
Felt pretty awful afterward. Determined that, if this run is any indication, I will NOT be running Waldo. It's just not fun to feel this way...
