Dog loops + Whitetail with BOOTS

April 26, 2009 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: high-40s, overcast then HARD rain

Comments:
Ran two dog loops (one with each) as an add-on before BOOTS showed up for the run. I hadn't run with him solo since 12/07 and not at all since last May, so it was good to catch up.

I felt a little clunky on the first dog loop but came around nicely on the 2nd, and by the time Sean showed up I was good and warmed up. The Whitetail 5-mile loop went by pretty fast, and we rolled pretty good. BOOTS is always chatty so that makes it go by quickly, as well.

About midway through I started feeling pretty damn tired after a long weekend of biking, track work, and weights. I wasn't too chatty on the 2-mile road finish, and while I was tired, I wasn't dead by any means. With about a mile to go it started raining HARD and we were pretty much soaked by the time we got back to mom's.

Pretty good run overall, and my longest in a while! It capped off a terrific week.

After cleaning up, we hit up DT RF for breakfast. The Bo's & Mine breakfast buffet seemed half-assed, so we went to South Fork's...which was probably even more half-assed, but we stayed there anyway. They had good mixed fruit and very average everything else.
