Monkey Run

Comments:
I want to ween off running at night. During the summer it was fine, but now I am so tired and I want to get used to afternoon practices. Ran at 3ish from the plantations. Since it was hotter, I stuck to trails and the shade. This took me out through the Freese fields and up across the bridge to the monkey run fields. I stuck on the trails, taking them all the way out to the old railroad bridge, then came back on the paths and the dirt road. When I got back to the water tower, I needed to add on a little, so I did a loop around the Vet school, trying to dodge all of the construction. Felt ok today, legs sore by the end, and my back and neck were starting to strain. The trails felt great though, time really flew by. Weather was pretty good overall too the clouds blocked the sun at all the right times.

Essentials: Stretch, ankle walks, L7, roll and hammys

Did a few short striders in the lower part of the plantations, just cause I was sluggish finishing up the run. Stretching felt pretty good though. I am honestly excited for ice baths when we get back though. I feel like fitting in those once a week will make my legs recover better.
