Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Ran mid day from the high school. It rained a lot last night and was pretty humid. Cooled the temp down a little bit though. The ice bath helped my legs felt a lot better today, felt smoother running. Took it slow on the hills though, and the trail was really overgrown. Felt good coming back though. Added on a Boynton mile, and I started to feel real fatigued at that point. By the end of the run, the sun had come out.
Essentials: Stretch, L7, pushups, roll
Did a bunch of striders on the track. The last two were barefoot on the field. I am not in sprinting shape, thats for sure. Usain Bolt made it look so easy yesterday, but I was tired after the striders. Then I stretched on the field. Eventually wandered home to roll. Caught the end of the open water swim. The race took almost 2 hours. Thats incredible. Alex Meyer, the only American in the race (and Ithaca High grad) got tenth which is pretty cool. Over the whole race they were all separated by a minute. Crazy.
Legs are still fatigued. This must be another transition to the higher miles. I am going to take a little down week next week before we go to camp. Looking forward to that.
