Exercise Type: Bike
Comments:
All the folks not at the meet (well, most of us...) met up at Veale this morning to do the workout. It was a fartlek kinda like last week. Personally, my hammy was feeling a little too tweaked for comfort, so I decided to go bike this one out. Unfortunatly, it aint a real season unless I take a workout onto the bike... I am ok with it now, I still got in some good work, and my hammy is feeling a little better. The guys headed out to graveyard and I went up to cardio room. Did a little jog on the treadmill to see how it felt, decent I guess, but I wouldnt do the full workout on it. So then I hopped over for the bike and did a 10 min warm up. Then jumped into 1-1-1:30-2-3-4-3-2-1:30-1-1. Good cycle. I was up to level 17/18 on the hard section, focused on breathing and pushing through, keeping RPM above 90. Recovery was essential though, but I kept it smooth through there. Mentally I think I held together pretty good on this one.
Essentials: Stretch, roll, abs, L7
Storage room was closed, so we just stretched and did abs in the regular spot. Good stuff stretched out the hammy and it didnt feel tweaked, just dull sore. Got to give it a few days and focus on tearing it up at PSB. Good job to all the Calvin folks. Hope it was a positive racing experience for all, and if not a good learning experience to move forward.
Got my ice cup, ill ice later this afternoon. Gametime the run tomorrow, might go down to veale and xtrain/swim. I dont like missing long runs though...
