For the first time EVER, I went running with my mom. After TWELVE YEARS of me trying to get her to run, she's decided to start. She got good shoes about 2 weeks ago, but she's been putting it off, so I put my foot down and said that we're going running - TODAY. Billy accompanied us for S&G's.
5 minute walk warm-up, followed by 1min on/1 off x5, then 6 minute cooldown walk. I brought along both my coach and PT "hats", with cueing for form (quad extension) and we took several pulses to make sure she wasn't having a cardiac episode! I think it went really well; she did great and didn't DIE! :)
After we wrapped that up, Billy wanted to run more, and run out at Hoffman, so we hopped in the car and ran up to the top for 2 laps. Very easy (like 8:30 pace) but plenty for me!
