Mile Intervals at the Farm

Morning workout at the farm after Man night at the Pink Pig. It was pretty fun and successful. Got a goo nights sleep to I would say, as I got a bed upstairs. I was very very hungry when I got up this morning, and we waited around in the rain for the bagels. I ate a bunch, probs not the best idea right before the workout but what ever... The rain stopped as we left the pink pig and headed down to the course. Coach and the girls met us down there then we had a little meeting. Plan was 5 repeat miles on the course at race pace. We grouped up, I was looking for the 26:30 range, which a lot of us ended up in. I thought I would work into it, so I stayed back with Brandon and Gabe and some other people. We did the first 2 miles together around the course. The deal was 2 min rest, but if your HR was too high then rest a little more. We had to wait until everyone was below 120. I recovered a little quicker after the 3rd one, which I took out fast and finished a little slow, but still it felt so smooth and controlled. I decided to jump in wiht Wyatt and Drew and Corey and TOny for the 4th and 5th one. Corey and I kinda broke away and finished strong. I was feeling pretty good, so I decided to hold the down hills and really work the last uphill on the last mile, I got a gap on Wyatt and held it in. We went a little too far out, so the last mile was about 5 seconds or so long. Overall a great workout, paces kinda scattered but held up mentally and physically and I felt strong, like I could do some work. Paces were:

5:37, 5:45, 5:21, 5:33, 5:15 (prob below 5:10 actually)

Cooled down with Gabe in the woods, we went down the access rd a lot farther than I have enver been, to where the actual farm is i think. I rolled my ankle kinda on the road, and it hurt at first but I could run on it. Might swell up alittle ill ice it tonight as a study break. Should be fine though might have to tape it on monday.

Essentials: Stretch, roll, L7, pushups

Good amount of stretching after the workout. Calves were super sore, but overall legs felt great. ANkle feels a little puffy, but I know how to deal. Did pushups infront of Brooke's house before we went in for Tacos!!!
