Weather: Little Hot little windy. But much better than normal!

Today was my fourth and final All-Ohio Championships. Went out a Champion!
Kind of a crappy bus ride. It was really hot on the way down. I felt really tired and lethargic pretty much the whole way there. Tried not to let it affect me. Tuned out the people that were letting it get them riled up.
When we got there it was pretty sunny and hot so Drew, Aaron, and I went across the grounds to some shade by the corn field and just chilled there for like an hour. Generally just people watched and chilled while we waited.
Warmed up an hour before. Did a longer warmup than 2 today. Felt okay. I'm always hyper sensitive to things on race day. It was really hot on the bus still. Got to the line. Felt pretty loose with Brett and Tenly there as we spiked up and did strides.
Got out slow. Not sure if Coach just misread her watch. We were either 2:40 or 2:50. Either way... too slow. Gotta be better with this. The tempo Monday was awesome over all, but we were all over the place the first mile. Same thing here. So we picked it up at the half and from there settled in on it and started finding our running. We had a great pack today. Ran strong. Especially David. He was awesome. Hell of a race. Seeing him stay with us K after K was just amazing. Even when I was hurting I didn't want to be the one to fall off. Didn't want to let my teammates down. That was just awesome. Turning around at the finish and seeing them was incredible! Best feeling of the whole day.
After the finish we were feeling pretty good about our team finish because we put 3 in front of ONU's first guy. Barnes gave us the word. It was sweet! Great for Ethan to win his first meet.
Very good day overall. It was great. But gotta focus now. Compete like you're 1st. Train like you're second.
