Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
We all did our long runs today. It was nice because we could go at any time. I set out at 3 with Phil and Phil. The Freshmen have been running NP too much, so we showed Phil Meadowbrook, a staple run, especially in the winter. Went out W St James then over to Meadowbrook, and took it all the way out to Warrensville. We then came back on NP and down cedar. Felt good on the way out pace was decent for a long run. On the way back, legs started to get a little tired and achy, I can still feel the soreness in my calves. Stopped off at Veale for a little to get water, then headed and did a northside loop to add on 2 miles. Felt pretty crisp on that section.
Essentials: Stretch, L7, roll, pushups, hammies, ice
Did 3 striders on the indoor track when I got back. Im gonna try to fit in some on the field tomorrow too. Then went into a decent stretch. Legs still feel tired mostly cause it was a long run. The weather was amazing out today though. So Crisp. No ice bath today but I did ice bag my calves. Props to Phil for doing buddies with me. They were pretty tough.
Picked up my new shoes from coach, and I got a little time to talk to her about the race and what happened after the 5k. It was a good chat now she knows what happened and why and how I acted. Good talk for the future.
