Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Back was pretty sore this AM - central, which is better than the right. It's really been an on and off clusterfuck the past year. When I started PT last fall, it was suggested that I not over-arch my back. This is true (especially for the upper back/trunk, which needs to stay forward), but I took that too far and in the wrong manner, and flattened my lower back. Ever since it's been a clusterfuck of back pain and "old man posture".

The run gait has been sooo much better, but I'm dealing with "flat-backing" when I'm not running, especially in standing. But it also rears its head when I get most fatigued, as was the case in my two x20 mile runs on Fri/Sun. So the back's pretty sore as a result...

I can only be patient with it, and be sure to be "relaxed neutral" at all other times, namely when standing/walking. Prob won't run again today...

Today's run: felt more or less fine - very little soreness, focusing on the compact push/pull, forward upper trunk and extended lower. I know that's doing well because everything's feeling better: R hip, B ankles, B feet, and the annoying/painful callous on my L 5th toes is pretty much gone. All signs the stride itself is money...
