Lickedy Split

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Raint and kinda windy

Comments:
Ran at MLK again for a split tempo. Changed it up a little bit from last week. Went to 3-2-2 style today and sped things up. Went for 5:15 pace for the first 3 and then faster for the next sets. I was ready to hit it hard. Its time to work.

The first segment felt smooth until for the first time the year I just had awful stomach problems. Still hung with the pack though. Felt really smooth. Ended up making a pit stop at our break. Thought I was done with that...

Kinda the same for the rest of the workout. Would go like a mile with Ethan and David and then lose it to the stomach. It would come in waves. I would fall off then the stomach would cycle off and I'd surge and close the gap with them, then back on and I'm out of contact again.

Kinda sucked that I wasn't killing it like I wanted to but I'm encouraged by a couple things:
1. I didn't ever completely stop the intervals. You gotta push through things like that and I did. It's the same as any adversity.
2. I never gave up and pushed when I was able. Again gotta push through stuff.

It was a struggle out there but I'm happy with it. It's good to struggle every once and awhile.

Lift day 2, static 1, ice bath, ibis later.
