Hardest workout I've done in a long long time. Workout was 20 min at 5:20 pace. First 7 mins at flat 5:20 pace then next 3 mins- 10 sec surge then back 5:20 pace for 30 sec, flat 5:20 again for 2 mins then back to surging for 3 mins, back to pace for 2 mins then back to surging for 3 mins.
After the tempo we did a 12 min recovery jog then 7 x 1 mins Hill repeats.
Overall the workout went really well. I really struggled with the surges but 5:20 pace felt good.
