Comments:
Went up to Gordon park for the first real intervals of the season. Repeat k's sub race pace. Goal times were set at 2:50-2:55, we took 1:30 rest, heat rate, walk the rest of the way to the line, then go. I'd say probably 2-2:30 rest total. Heart rate started at around 30 but got up to 35 by the end.
Began with 2 accelerations. Hit them pretty hard just to get the legs moving. Pretty much full recovery after them. Then took 3 minutes and got in to the real workout.
We did 8x1000. The first one we went too long but after that settled in on a really good pace. Second one was slowest at 2:56, 5th one I think was fastest at 2:52. Average was probably around 2:54-2:55. Rolled into the last one. I was going all out and only hit another 2:55. Guess it was a good workout.
Felt good out there today. Gotta keep the group together better next time though. Otherwise good workout. Felt kinda speedy today. My finish has been bad at both All-Ohio and Oberlin so it was nice to know I've still got a little bit of something there.
