Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Hotter than usual, beautiful day regardless

Comments:
Ran what we were told was basically the same workout as last Thursday except there would be no pickups at the end. Just 8x1000 with the two quick strides at the beginning.
Felt about the same as Thursday on the warmup. Kinda had a cramp on the way out but nbd. Not having Ethan there was weird. Kinda just warmed up on my own that way.
Drilled once we got there and got right into it after that. Was in the bathroom so did the stride things by myself. Felt decent.
Caught up to the group on the rest before we started the 1000's. Group was David, Phil, Tony and me. Ethan was on the bike and Tim was at home so it was what was left of the top group. Still seemed kinda small.
Hit the first one hard. Probably a bit on the fast side 2:47, found out after that the rest this time was just a jog back to the line. So that cut our rest down a lot. Group was staying together though.
Settled in after the first one like 2:52-2:55 for the next three. They were getting marginally slower after that first one though. After that the coaches started telling us to take more rest. I was kinda glad of it although I was not expecting it since we were staying pretty consistent. Felt like I was pushing pretty good. From talking to other people it sounds like others were falling off at that point though. Took the extra rest like a jog then heart rate before the next one. I think both Phil and Tony took that one off so it might have been just me and David running there. Rest was increased for the last ones until we just walked before the 7th one. That was our last one as a group. It was good to have Phil pushing. I feel like having him back up in the front really helped our group push together.
Last one was me and David solo. Really tried to push it hard. Felt the extra rest here as opposed to Thursday. Hit 2:49-2:50. Was happy with that.
I'm glad David stayed consistent and stuck much better today. We'll need that at the meets coming up. That said it was different not having Ethan out there with me today.
Felt like this workout was harder than Thursday. But we did run faster and have less rest overall so I'd say that's probably why. Still more rest at the end though. Idk about that.
Jog back was me and David together alone. Most everyone else had left by the time we finished.
