Comments:
Traveled to Rochester all day. Somewhat of a homecoming good to be back in central ny. We got there fine it was a nice day out. I gave directions to the park and the course. It all came back and looked so familiar. It was pretty hot out when we started the course review. We jogged by the canal, over to the course, then did the loop a few times. Course is so simple, just 4 2 k loops. Not really like the McQuaid course... Still the terrain is good and fast. Did a few striders from the start and one into the finish. Felt smooth, but I can't wait to get those spikes on and race tomorrow. Real good attitude and vibes the whole time, just joking around like we always do.
Essentials: stretch, L7, roll
Breif essentials before heading to the hotel. Good meeting at night. We know what we need to do. We are stronger than last year, and no one expects anything from us. We are the only ones that are going to make ourselves better. We need to put ourselves in there and race. I know where I wanna be right in the 40s. I wanna move up that back 5 that was at the trail end last year. It's funny because I kinda remember looking at the calendar my freshman year, knowing UAAs would be here. Now it is, and I am excited and prepared.
