Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
GOOD RUN. Started off on the Olmstead loop just outside Cool. Ran easy on some soggy trail down to 49 AS and down Quarry trail to Lower Quarry Rd, then followed that all the way to Maine Bar, and up vid Dead Truck to the WS trail, then backwards to GG.

Pretty honest but very easy, sustainable pace on the way out. Stride felt good, but when I was engrossed in condo, I would drift into sloppy trunk left.

On the way back we picked it up a bit; had a solid split to ALT - where I think I pushed it a bit up front. Had only my 2nd COOOOOKIE at ALT, then had BGD lead to BB, where I felt like he pushed it a bit in the mid-section. I started to really feel the fatigue once we got to the AS.

We were both feeling it at that point, but I really wanted to push the descents, so I rolled fairly hard down to Quarry. Once down there, it was clear that BGD was toasted, but we kept the feet moving, then had a pretty epic bonk-ascent of Quarry trail to 49. What an AWESOME training experience! Mega-bonk, yet still running a great "Race day split"?? You couldn't ask for a better experience.

Once we got to 49, we each had one more cookie, but it didn't do much to stave the mega-bonk...or at least it took 15 min to kick it. It was hard to HIKE up the trail back to Olmstead. Wow.

GOOD RUN. Great convos w/BGD, per usual.

Stride: back felt GREAT before, during after. Did a good job with turnover, AND did a good job with my left flexion phase (as my L foot wasn't sore on the 5th MET, like it tends to). My trunk L wasn't great, though...gotta mind that better.
