Woke up EARLY and hauled to EC to get ready for the move. The trailer was set to be dropped off from 8-noon, so I figured I'd run with my phone on me 'til I got the head's up.
I parked at Chip Tech and ran Altoona Trails -- my last run in EC for a while. And once again, this time on Stagecoach, I ran into CORNBREAD! Very odd. Once again, he was unusually friendly and wished me well in my move to Oregon.
Felt pretty good early on the run. Went NO ORTHOTICS in the shoes because of the L lateral foot pain! This SUCKS. The new adidas shoes must be too narrow or something -- I hope. Otherwise I'm just crushing my L 5th met for no reason. F.
The 'Toona trails were a bit wet and overgrown but it was nice running. I snuck my way around the golf course, then through Archery Park. I ran around Banbury looking for the loading dock to park the trailer, then kept on. I added on Long Carson/Buckshot to get over ten miles...and symbolically to run the Labor day race course that I'll miss for the first time since 1995! (Odd years, at least).
I finished pretty tired but feeling good, overall.
The move was annoying but relatively easy. It was a daunting task to load allll my shit into that trailer, but with PICO's help, I did it. It took much longer than I thought -- after 3PM -- but we got it all jammed in there.
On the drive home I noticed my L foot was really bothering me. F! I decided that I CANNOT risk running those m-f-ing shoes any more, so I kept driving on 94 all the way to Run N Fun, where I picked up a new pair of ascics -- this time a Nimbus. Same feel as the Kayano, but no dual-density foam (which I don't think I need). Most importantly, they felt GOOD on my feet...though my L lateral foot continued to ache the rest of the day.
Bought some beer to bring to OR with me, and randomly met up with Jimmy/Samah for dinenr in Woodbury. LONG DAY.
