Comments:
I was achy and sluggish today ( a plank and clam day). Possibly from the workout. However, I've observed that after several workouts this winter I have not felt as sore the next day as I used to; perhaps we haven't done a hard workout yet. After yesterday, I resolved never to dread or complain such matters beforehand again; they are an essential part of the sport and without them all the steady runs in the world are meaningless. I did the medium route with Monsieur Cohen and as we went up Tilden I remarked that it was not particularly difficult. I can only hope that I will be able to get my act together for Friday's race. At the moment I am very frightened about the mile, but certainly ready to improve upon my current mark of 5:13, done during the Saturday a week before regionals.
