Interval training on the track

Kinda tired from waking up early this morning, but I was pretty excited to get to practice since I didnt run yesterday. It was the same workout as last week but a little shorter, to save it for the meet. I kinda just went into this one. I usually dont do indoor workouts, but I need something to get ready for a race indoor lol. This year is all or nothing as well, so Im just going with the flow and doin what I do. It was warm out today, but I still brought my camo jacket to break the wind. Ankle all taped up then a warm up through little italy and back Euclid. Fell kinda behind on the warm up since I had to pee real bad.

Drill series, everything feeling fresh, and then we rolled into the workout. we had 2x800 with 800 rest, 4 mins after the set, 3x400 with 400 rest, 3 mins after the set, then 2x200 with 200 rest. I did something similar last week on the bike. Felt tough going around the turns I ended up in lane 2 most of the time. Got some stitches near the end of each interval, but worked through it into the next one so I was good to go. Real consistent times I would say. Dont really know how to correlate that to a pace though. Its gonna take a while to get racing back in my mind. Good pace though of freshman and me and Mercer. Times were:

35, 34, 37

Hips, back, hammies all started to tighten up near the end there. Good cool down out around Severance though. The guys "stole" my shorts though and my butt was sticking out. All I had was my jacket to cover up...

Lift downstairs when we got back.

Essentials: Stretch, roll, L7, hips, ice hammy

Good stretch session though. Legs feel worked and sore. Hopefully they recover before the meet. Right hammy is tight so I iced that and I know hw to nurse it which is good. Me and the Asians planned our international trip as we were stretching down. Didnt talk to coach yet about waht I am running, but there is no way I am doing a 5k on the track. I guess it is a return to the mile.
