It got real cold out today. Nice in the morning but went to shit soon. Coach wanted a lot of people inside, but I couldnt handle that. It was just windy... I was expecting more people to go out, but I was the only person to raise my hand lol. Chippy felt bad and decided to brave the wind. Mad props.
Warmed up with some other people who wanted to go outside over to MLK, since that is the spot for monday tempos. Today was a split up tempo, int0 3-4 2000m legs. We were going off time, so we basically did 4 x 7:30 on MLK. Good warm up and did a few drills (not too many). We wanted to get into it. First section took us out to the garden after Ghandi, which I think the 2k mark is actually sprayed on. It was a 5:50 mile I think, pretty darn good for the amount of wind. Got a minute rest then made it out past the 2.5 mark, where the wind was really whipping. It slowed us down a lot. I think we were starting to get tired since we kinda went a little slower on the way back, but still stopped at the same point. Really tired to work that 4th leg. My cardio and upper body felt smooth, but legs were so heavy and chunky on the path like they always are. Both Chippy and I were feeling sore in the shins. It was tough, I wanted to go faster and felt like I could, just couldnt get that extra gear with my legs.
When we got back, we had 6 x 1min, which was good cause that gave us a chance to stretch the legs out and get rolling. I tired to focus on staying smooth, but more so tried to get through the wind. Long workout at the end, I was very tired. Easy cool down back to veale.
I think we saw a prostitute in the MLK parking lot. There were two parked cars there for the whole time we were out there, and at the end, a girl got out, and drove off in the other car...

Tired an hungry at the end of practice. Good stuff though felt strong but slow today. I got to get fast. Id whats going on with Friday it is kinda confusing to me. Ive got to put the work in to be ready when we head outdoors though. I got the shot. O yea still cant get into the ice bath since I think they dont want us taking them.
