Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Had an interesting workout today, not something we really do much. A bunch of the guys wanted to do it outside, since the weather was decent. It was pretty windy, but overall better than the indoor track. Me Chippy Tony Alex Sergio Phil and Benny D all headed over to the outdoor track to see if it was open and if we could do the tempo there. It was clear, so we added another mile on before a potty break in Wade.
Hit up some random drills. I felt very tired doing drills. Legs still kinda shot from the run yesterday. Feeling super heavy. Must be the transition to the next phase of training. Anyways we got to the workout since it was getting windy. Plan was 8 x 2min tempo (comfortable fast) with 1 min rest, the a mile jog then 4x400 accelerative. We took turns with the tempos to break the wind, went a bit faster than the usual tempo pace but it was good stuff HR was right around 160. WE were hitting 80s pretty much, so 2 mins worked out to 600m every time. Pack worked great. On the last few started to feel a little tired, but I pushed through good. The mile jog was very tiring. I went pretty slow and felt heavy legged.
The 400s went well, the girls showed up and did them with us. We took an article of clothing off after each one. Got pretty chilly by the end... all I had on was pants and the reflector vest. Hit 77-75 on them, def took the first part slower and worked into the last straight away.
Legs pretty tired at the end of the day. Easy cool down back to veale then finished up on the indoor track.
Essentials: Stretch, L7, roll, hips, abs, ice bath
Didnt lift since my legs were feeling very tired. I will do it tomorrow, good since I have more time with no Processing lecture. Stretch felt good, but legs just feel achy and tired. Good stuff. Ice bath sucked as usual and I was really really hungry at the end of practice. Got a wild week coming up so do what I can when I can. Still havnt heard anything back from UW... I guess it will get all worked out when the time comes.
