February 26, 2013 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: high 40s, dry
Comments:
Foot was a bit sore in the AM; it was also quite sore last night working! Damn! So I WORKED IT: cranked on the peroneal tendons and distal/lateral shin, then stretched like hell. Also worked the foot with a roller - it all felt muscle sore, which was good. After that, the foot felt MUCH BETTER.
Ran the 3-mile loop, +x10 pull-ups. Uptempo, which felt good. Stride's coming together, but man, I'm really gonna have to focus on three things at Napa:
1.) "L pushes R" - I notice when I do drills w/patients, when I do the march/skip on the L, my trunk likes to stay/deviate L - thus more proof of the importance of "pushing wide" on the L foot to keep the trunk equalized.
2.) "Opened" low back - avoid "Old Man Back"!
3.) Staying forward.
The 1400s were SUPS-comfortable! Really like 'em.
Foot was FINE the rest of the day! :)
