Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Pretty productive day, doin work. Legs are still sore and I am pretty tired overall. Practice was a little earlier today, and we had a workout since Monday was long run. We were all determined to go outside, since they were pretty long intervals. A bunch of people went in the early afternoon, but we had a good crew going. Chris was there so there was someone to do hurdles with. All warmed up through Little Italy. People were killing the pace, I thought it was way too fast. I stuck to the way back and my legs were feeling sore.
It wasnt too cold out, but the wind was whipping a bit, kinda blowing the snow around. Did drills then Chris and I got to put spikes on for the hurdles. I missed the part about paces when I was putting my shoes on, so I honestly had no idea what we were supposed to be going at. Chris was going a bit below race pace, so I though sub 80 would be good. Did a few striders and started off (I should done more). Chris went way ahead since he was running faster, but I kinda went at the pace I was supposed to. It was good hit 76 for the first lap, then that was it... I felt terrible today, not fast at all. The hurdles were good, good for the first time of the season. A lot of work can be done but I wasnt afraid of them. The middle sections and all the flat stuff felt soo slow. I ended up running 83s, but I couldnt go faster. My legs felt very very shitty and slow. It was frustrating, but today just wasnt my day. Calves were pretty tight from spikes. My HR was kinda low after, so I have some more left, just my legs arnt there... Times for the 3 x 2400m were pretty consistent, even though we did hurdles on the 1st and 3rd. 400 jog inbetween.

Easy cool down back to veale with Chris... Legs feeling very fatigued.
Lift downstairs, some new stuff. I guess I dont feel very strong, so stuff in the weight room is crutial. For the most part I have been down there doin what needs to be done.
Essentials: Stretch, L7, roll, abs
Again, feeling good with the stretch. Ice bath was closed and we wanted food so I couldnt utilize that. An Ice bath would help. I think I am just getting back into the swing of things still. I had a lot of fun today and hopefully got stronger and faster. I have been thinking about spring break, but it is something I cant worry about. Its a sunk cost and an important one at that. What I get out of this season is what I get. I just got to work hard every time I have the chance.
