Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
I ran in the DMR for the first time at Loyola Blakefield. I had a pretty terrible race, but I suppose it's not altogether unacceptable after having come back from (knock on wood) injury. I just need to do a workout. DZ handed me the baton and on the first lap Anthony told me to enjoy "being out here." I did the first lap in 72. I went through 800m in 2:33, 1200m in 3:52 and crossed the line in a rather disappointing 5:06, managing to beat a few people. My leg didn't bother me at all during the race, hurt for a few minutes after, but when I stretched and cooled down it was no longer a problem. I did, however, enjoy being there for the rest of the day seeing the victorious, record setting 4x8s, 4x1600s and 4x4s, which on both sides set school records and qualified for Penn Relays IN MARCH. I would love nothing more than to get back to uninterrupted training. I used today as evidence to my parents for what happens when one does not have the opportunity to train how one is supposed to.
