Comments:
Ran by myself from Veale just before 9pm after presentations finished for polymers. Headed out the door kinda quick but figured I'd hold pace til coventry to see what I was doing. Got to coventry, found I was rolling about 6:20. headed up to lee and the light was green so I ran across the bridge by the second lake. The moon was reflecting off the lake and everything was quiet so it was really nice. Heading back toward lee, all the streetlights on any street visible went out. It was really weird. The houses still had power, but the streetlights were just suddenly off. A few turned back on as I ran by them after crossing Lee but it was weird. Got back to Coventry and kind of wanted to blow out the last 2 miles, see what I could do. Felt alright for a while, then just before the downhill turn where north park turns into MLK I suddenly felt awesome. Just real relaxed even though I was moving pretty quick. The light at Cedar was green, rolled through and picked it up a little. Nothing like a kick but I was rolling pretty fast by then. Stopped the watch when I got back to the circle. Technically, with the downhill and mapping it just a hair short, it's not a PR, but I laid down a 10:45 between Coventry and Veale, and that's faster than any time I've ever run on a track for 3200m. Super pumped about that.
