Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Jungle
Comments:
I had the distinct honor of running in M.A.C. championships and, perhaps, participating in the winning of the banner. I am so glad Anthony switched me to the 3200m, for it turned out to be a fantastic day. The race was quite enjoyable, and I had a slight personal best, splitting 5:15, 5:20, closing in an acceptable 73. Yet, like nearly every race this spring, I was all alone for the majority of the race, though I did get to battle with this Potomac kid in laps 3-5, finally crushing him at 6:28. Samaha cheered for me excellently on the back straightaway and even some of family came to watch! Anant showed up too. My nerves beforehand were of a typical pre-race nature and the temperature climbed to almost 90 degrees with incredible humidity. Anthony seemed pleased. I will certainly do a time trial in the mile, and perhaps a 400m or 800m. I didn't think it was possible but I am even more motivated to train over the summer. We ran good.
