I got a call from Little Joe this afternoon informing me he's driving past Madison today and wanted to stop and see me. So I decided I needed to run home from campus tonight with my cell phone. Well it rained.

I freaked out about it getting wet in my pocket on State Street and decided to cut over to the Shell and stick it under a hand drier for a little while before heading back out. At that point I decided the rain let up enough that it would be better to run carrying my phone in light rain than to put it back in my soaked pocket.

After a couple more miles, I reached the bathrooms at Hoyt Park and decided the best way to handle the situation was to wrap my phone in paper towels and carry it the rest of the way in hand. Thankfully it stopped raining by this point.
