Exercise Type: Run

The plan was to run long (and maybe fast) this morning, but yesterday was such a LONG day - Will's party went really late and my friend Max was over 'til nearly midnight. I would've had to have been RUNNING at 0500 to get it done. Even if I had the time...I was just too damn tired. No way.

So I slept in 'til 8AM, packed up and got a ride from my bro Steve to MSP. Slept half the flight to DEN, but none to EUG. Got picked up by Mr Roberts and we went to WinCo, then home.

At home: cleaned in between sets of strength (4 sets?). I know I'm still tired/recovering when even the push-ups are hard. It was bad on Thu-Sat, but better yesterday.

I had mentally surrendered to a zero today - I just HAVE TO recover ("I GOTTA have a central NERVOUS system!"), but I also realized that if I do nothing, I get stiff and my mechanics suffer.

So, around 5ish, I went for a run. Took the HRM to keep it super-easy, which I did. HR was under 125 until perhaps the last mile.

Felt SOOO TIRED! Sheesh. Ran maybe 8-8:45 pace the whole run 'til the last mile or so. Ugh. Can't believe how tired I am.

The plan for the evening was to meet Dan-O at the Y for a "steam", but when we arrived at 815, it was closed! Oops. Went home, had a snack, and was in the sack just after 9.

Pretty disappointed with this week, but I guess I have to realize that my #1 weakness is recovery time, and that training week was the equivZ of a race. Needed the down week. Just hope I can bounce back this next week.

Wore the N2s for the hybrid run. SO comfortable!
