Did a two-mile tempo today - time to taper off, and be sure I'm not preventing my ongoing recovery.
Wanted to a bit faster today, since BGD was a DEHCK and ran his fast. Only got about <2mi warm-up, x4 stiff strides, then went after it. Stride felt pretty good and strong: focused on the arms and push off, keeping the crouch, etc. Felt very efficient and powerful.
Hit 5:25, and thought I'd roll under that for the 2nd mile, but came through 1.5 slower than 0.5, so wound up with a 5:26, though they were within 0.2s of each other.
Jogged a mile back to the clinic. Not bad, not bad!
