Matt, BGD and I went to do a tempo run. Tried the HS first, but there was no track there.  BGD found one at the MS, so we drove there.
Did a longer warm-up: >:20 along some random singletrack, briefly through a neighborhood, then onto a golf course/disc golf area, then back.  Felt pretty good.  
Did a bunch of drills and strides on the infield, then did the tempo.  The weather was on and off: barely any rain to pretty damn hard (small misty drops).
Matt recorded BGD and I on the first 800m: 1:24 (led by BGD), 1:21 (me) for a pretty smooth 2:45.  BGD was ass-dragging on the 2nd 400m, so I gave him a little "Central Governor Pep Talk".
3:00 rest, then all three of us ran.  I got us out in 1:21, then BGD went around and led a spirited 2nd lap, with Matt hanging on pretty damn good!  The altitude felt funny - I felt it more in my arms than anything!  Hit the lap in 1:14 (maybe 1:13!) for a 2:34 800m.  Felt AWESOME!
R calf was a little "tight", but I was really sure to push from the hip and stay away from toe running.
Did 800m cooldown, then headed home.
Did a STEAM after some strength.
