Comments:
Got the HRM replacement strap/sensor in the mail today, so decided to do the test. Drove to SEHS, ran a half-mile to the adidas/bark loop, then did another 3/4 mile of warm-up, strides/drills and then went for it.
It was pretty not...fun. It was considerable work to NOT go over, which was annoying. The heat also didn't help: 30% of the loop was shaded, so when I got out of that an into the sun, the HR shot up.

Did not feel good. Sluggish. Ugh.
Ran a 1/2 mile back to the car. It's going to be annoying; I feel like I'm starting all over, and I did zero training the past...year. Wow.
