PCT TH to Fuji and back

July 26, 2013 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Weird day. OK day at work, then when I got home I felt TOTZ flat: didn't want to do anything, felt really tired. Napped a bit, laid around, then FINALLY got my shit packed up. Went to the DMV but it was so fucking packed, I got my forms and left. Didn't get up to Willamette Pass/PCT 'til nearly 5.

The idea was to do a big push: Fuji and Maiden. But there was zero way, sans headlamp, that this would happen, so I ran from the TH, back to the finish/start, taking the low cutoff trail to Gold Lake. From there, under HR disciplie, I climbed Fuji.

Did not feel very good. Figured, post-run, that a lot was allergies, especially in the latter half (two deuces). But I was disappointed that it took *56 minutes* from Gold AS to Fuji AS (BGD's split was like 49-50?), ugh. But, for the first long trail run, it felt OK.

Got a little bonky and tired on the descent, and had to go supz slow from Gold to the finish/PCT, but otherwise it was a good run.

About 3:10 for the whole run, with a real measure of 19 miles, so....that's not too fucking bad, right?

Ate dinner in "town" (Crescent Lake, at the one bar/restaurant - it was good), then "camped" in the back of my truck at the PCT TH. Had to set up my tent beside my truck at 2AM because the skeeters "re-woke up" and were buzzing my head.
