Comments:
Slept OK...like I'd run 58 miles.
Hung out poolside with the Harts. Then looked at my watch: 10AM. I needed to go to the finish line...even though I didn't want to. I needed to be there.
Got cleaned up and drove solo over there. Ran into and talked to a TON of people:
- AJW and the Riley's (Tom just finished!), and MB
- Jorge and his "wife" Laura
- saw the last two official (and two more unofficial) finishers
Then, like, EVERYONE. Who I talked to:
- The "Chiselers" (guys who didn't go for it, but ran smart and snagged M10s): Meltzer, Yassine, Terranova, Haynes.
- Mike Morton
- Luis Escobar
- A bunch of ladies (Pam, Denise, etc).
- Sam Jurek, my 2011 GG pacer
Watched the whole awards ceremony, damn-near. By awards, the crew fellas showed up. We thought about going to AAH, but I had a pizza craving so we headed west to Chicago Fire - picked up BGD and met Connor and Jorge there.
Had a fun hangout at the pool house later.
