Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
First run in over two weeks. It felt good to be back. Got new shoes at the store today, got to talk to CWs for a bit. After walking dogs at Cass, I ran home. Didnt know what to expect, so I took it a little short today. I ran comfortably for what I felt at the moment, so pace was all over the place. Started out slow but actually got faster by the end. Crossed at Dey St then came down Cayuga and Albany. On Albany, I made every stop light, so I was pushing it to try and keep the streak up. I actually felt like I was going pretty fast, but my legs feel so out of shape. Its amazing how different it feels to be in shape and be out of shape. I would love to get back in shape. Now that things are going to get into a routine, I would like to get mileage up to 30 miles a week, then think about finding a 5k or 10k to race. Good simple plan. On the days I dont run, I will get into the gym to do a lift.
Essentials: Stretch, roll
Quick and easy stretch after getting back. It wasnt too hot out, but it looks like its gonna rain, and I sweat a lot. Legs didnt feel as bad as I thought. They were sluggish when I was running, but not that sore. Strength will come with hard work.
