Reverse Whitney

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Drove down to campus today to run. I was getting bored of running from the apartment, and I love all my old routes from campus. Ended up parking in Lot 26 instead of the North Apartments. Did a reverse Whitney, with a few shortcuts since the actual route is a bit too long for my training right now. Cut off the section in town and the part that goes along Amherst College by just going down Triangle to Main and then turning on Whitney. The hill is though when you go the other way. It is so nice to coast down the regular direction, but I was hauling to get up today. Cut through Orchard hill also, and the bugs were starting to get bad and there were clouds all in my face. Suprisingly it was nicer in the backwoods. It was a lot of fun in there. I was feeling tired throughout the run, but I really picked it up in the backwoods, since it reminded me of cross. I thought back, and reminisced how the training back there me and my team to the national championships... Crazy stuff... Thats where the first work was set down on road to nats. A commitment had to be made and it paid off. Stomach was feeling a little queasy finishing up to the parking lot. Legs fine today, but I was very tired overall. Arms are sore form pushups yesterday as well.

Essentials: Stretch

Just stretched in the parking lot. It was kinda shitty. Body holding up so I didnt stretch that extensively. I was drenched in sweat and I then had to drive home. That sucked I will bring a towel next time. I home my seat doesnt smell now. Overall, great run in a classic Amherst summer evening... Brings back the memories.
