Mountain Rd

September 1, 2013 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Rainy and humid today. I saw somewhere that the humidity was above 90%. I thought it was gonna rain in the evening, so I went shirtless to avoid chafing. The one problem with shirtless is that the bugs can get you... I headed out for a longer run, up into Mountain Rd. I started out slow, working into the pace up the hills. Once I got onto the trail, I had to pick it up to avoid the mosquitoes. If I went to slow, they would bite me. They are a good motivator to keep pace lol. I actually felt really good on the road. Its a remote trail with a soft surface and water puddles. How can you not feel fast? Its a really fun road to run on. I was cruzing up the hill, made it past the split, and turned around at 25 minutes. Had to go a little slower down the hill to avoid rocks. It was getting a little darker and cooler out on the way back, but I was feeling good. Added on a SES loop and stopped for a pee break there. Good finish down Hadley. HR was around 140 when I finished.

Essentials: Stretch, roll

Stretched and then got in a good roll. Knee was a little tight at points today, and my IT was feeling tight as well. Shorts were saturated with sweat at the end of the day. I could literally wring them out.
