Skinner criterium

September 25, 2013 (Night)

Exercise Type: Bike

Weather: mostly shitty, scizophrenic

Comments:
BRAIN FOG most of the day today, holy shit! I'm beginning to think it's BEER. Have three at the Hunt, then in a total brain fog all day, despite coffee or anything else.

Still felt off after work. I over-committed and agreed to meet two women - Kimber Mattox and Brett Ely - for an informal interview. They're both elite runners and involved in the UO Human Phys department. Brett is a PhD candidate and Kimber is a recent Master's grad and faculty - it was her course that I guest lectured in.

Good chats on a lot of stuff, but mostly the OTS topic, and how they balance the demands of training and non-running commitments. It was cool.

As such, I barely had any time to train. Really wanted to get in the pool, but had very little time. So I biked 30min around Skinner, then packed and cleaned up. Glad I only did that, as I was late for meeting the girls, and I was able to get to bed at a reasonable hour.
