School Bus Hill

October 1, 2013 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
AM Classes so I came home at lunch time. I am busy working on the analysis of the mechanical properties data, and I can do that at home. I got to run a little earlier, which was awesome. It was soo nice out. The crunch of the leaves on the sidewalk means its fall, and the weather is always amazing. So done with the summer weather (even though I was traveling for most of the summer and missed a lot of the hot days.) Anyways, wandered over to Cross Mountain and went pretty deep into the woods. Started out fast but the hill hit me and I slowed down. The road is covered in leaves so it is getting hard to see the ground, and I dont want to bust up my ankles. I stopped for a pee break, and noticed a small path that shot straight up the edge of the hill. I was curious to see where it went, so I went right up it. It was a short path, but at the top was an old school bus "carcass". The entire thing was rusted and the only thing left was the frame. It was really creepy. I checked it out for a little, then turned around. You never know what you are gonna find out in those woods. Came back down the hill slowly since the terrain was uneven, then headed back home via the SES loop.

Did 2 long striders on the road when I got back.

Essentials: Stretch

Good stretch inside. Legs felt much better today, I felt quick on the flats and relaxed on the hills. When I got back I was pretty tired though. I have been going to be early but still being pretty tired in the morning. All that work.
