Super-rainy day. Pretty good work day, but busy.

Worked on pelvic mobility and hip ext ex's at lunch, then ran a legit 10 mile on my own. Mr Roberts was leading the hunt and had some nutty hike "run" in mind for tonight. But the reality of racing the 2012 World 24hr champ + AR holder (Morton) and maybe the 2013 W24h champ + new 100mi AR holder (Olsen) in ten weeks has lit a fire under my ass. I gotta get after it!

Ran from my apt, after a mega low carb (and cal) day. Had only about a handful of nuts since breakfast.

Ran the usual loop but into SPFD and back around through campus. HR was high and spikey, but likely fatigue-based.

Stride felt good, REALLY focused on opening both hips and doing the "Salazar stride" felt good, if not a bit tight. L hamstring continues to tighten: I think this is chronic L SIJ, and there's not much I can do about it other than run efficiently + wear the stab belt when not running. Also got the R iliac soreness - this is super annoying. THOUGHT this was from stiffness in the R trunk, but I thought Ryan got this moving on Sunday. F.

Nevertheless, the stride felt good. Avg HR: 152 for the run, which was consistently at 7:00 or faster.
