Gorham to Shorewood Hills along Lake Mendota to Laurel Crest and back-
Apparently the pot protest was a multi-day affair, so after walking past it to and from church this morning, I decided to simply take Langdon and avoid the whole scene. They were all dressed in ridiculous multicolored clothes and trying to sell trinkets. I wonder what it is about smoking pot that makes them think they look good dressed like that and makes them actually want to buy trinkets? Is it like the shopping munchies or something?
Anyway, the rest of the run beyond the first mile was quite normal haha. It was a gorgeous day for the long run, the perfect temperature, discounting the funny-smelling cloud around the protest at least... My right hip was hurting the last 5 miles or so but my stomach felt fine at least. I realized on my way back that I seemingly spent half my free weekend (and the last one of those for a while at that) getting myself all fired about things I have no control over. Regardless I can't say I regret it.
