Comments:
long hill workout. this is my kind of hill workout, real hard uphill and lots of rest. did real well. was up towards the front for them. after 5 my calf started to bother me, the downhills caused more problems i think. i got a bad cramp last night too, and i think i really needed a good ice bath, and i stretched it out more often during the past 24 hours. but it kind has bothered me longer than i wanted it to. coach says i should really take the next two days easy, and swim tomorrow for sure, possibly friday too. waiting on compression socks so i can at least try and find out if they help. i'll be happy with a good last race of my cross country career, so at worst my calf only has to last until next saturday.
also, i am okay with the lift, but the timing is a little off. i think i will take it easy on next week, but i kind of wish i had never gotten stuck in the upstairs lift for 4 years. i really have confirmed how useless it was by actually having to do things now. i think it will help the team in the long run.
