Night class, but we got out 30 min early. Still couldnt run. Classic story: I was walking down the stairs by the library today and I took a bad step and rolled my ankle. It hurt like a muthafucker. I actually had to sit down because I couldnt put any weight on it. I limped down to Blue Wall and got some ice out of the ice machine and iced it during lunch. Its still real sore, not too swollen though. Pushes me way back on running since I cant put too much pressure on it. I honestly think I got an issue here... Its so weak that it might not be healing correctly. Its fine until I roll it, and then it hurts for a few weeks real bad. I should think about getting a second opinion, because I may need the ligaments repaired in the future. Until then, ice and vitamin i and stretch band, and push through the pain. This is nothing compared to racing an entire season with a sprained ankle.

Actually though... this is kinda spooky with the whole theme of Halloween. I always fear Halloween when it comes to my training. Junior year I rolled my ankle really bad on Halloween night out on Fairhill. I had to hobble back like 2 miles when I thought the thing was broken. I was pissed because we had just gotten back from UAAs and I was really gearing up for Regionals. I was nervous, and busting my ankle threw me off. Then last year, on Oct 29th, I rolled it again during our Hurricane Sandy run. It had been a while since I rolled it, so it was unfamiliar, but it still hurt a ton. I was the alternate for regionals so I wasnt too nervous. Now its Oct 30th, and I rolled it again pretty bad... Why is it always near Halloween that I fuck my ankle up?? So spooky...
