November 1, 2013 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 50s, overcast
Comments:
Weird day: met/networked at 0700 with a local doc in town (stopped by his office w/Warren), then had two patients, then none for 2+hrs, then a noon patient at the pool.
So I decided to get my run in before the pool. For old time's sake, I drove to Tamarack and ran from there. Again, super-easy (13x) first 2-3 miles on the flat, before things spiked on the 1mi/500' climb up to Ridgeline, up to Baldy, then back down. Felt a little stiff in the hamstrings, but I did some deadlifting yesterday.
After that: immediately into the Tamarack pool with a shoulder patient, THEN hustled over to the U of O for a cool symposium on the physiological changes seen with mediation/mindfulness. Very cool!
THEN, I had an allergy doc appt - a little disappointing: I have to go back in a week because I took a Claratin the day before. She still doesn't believe that my sx (fatigue, gut rot) can be from allergies. But I think she doesn't see that, because very few people (like me) put 2 and 2 together: that when there are allergens in the air, they "get the flu"...so they go to their PCP, and not an allergy doc. Dunno. All I know is that I take allergy meds and feel a thousand times better.
After that? Went to the library, did a bit of shopping, then went home. Was pretty tired (after a long night, Wed night), so I just chilled at home. Did a fair amount of "networking" with my various "ambigious ladies" (Chelsea, Teresa, Sarah, Kimber, Claire!!!). HA! Good to have some "options", right?
Time 1:19 / AHR 143
Not sure if I mentioned it, but I think my MAF needs to be lower: between some "niggles" and allergies, I'm actually supposed to be more like 140 (compared to 150), so this lower AHR is good.
