Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 45, nice
Comments:
Had a coaching session with Mike after work. Ran from the clinic to the back of Skinner Butte (behind my apt). I showed him the "Salazar" warm-up routine, then we did "Maffetone downhills" - "hard" (at MAF pace) downhill, and MAF on the way up. The DH was maybe 2-3% grade and about 350m. Good practice for good mechanics and good, fast running for him. He's a 44 yo CEO of 500+ employee company. Super-nice guy, but high-stress (travel, etc). He's PRIME for the Maffetone approach and he's embraced it, fully. But it's meant running at 133BPM, which has cut him down from 8 pace to like 9:30-10:30. But he's "all in". Good and fun to spend time with him.
Maybe got in 4 miles, very easy. Felt GOOD!
Got done just in time to get to yoga a bit early. Good class. B-)
