Knowles Track w/Mom, friends

I thought I felt better this AM, but the fever returned and I felt like SHIT. As a present, I told my mom I would do a little running tutorial for her and two of her runner/workout friends. That was on at 1PM, so I had to get my shit together, because I would not cancel it.

Mom and I headed to the indoor track on campus of UW-River Falls just before one. It's a nice facility but can get crazy if there's lots of folks there, especially if you're trying to run fast on the track.

Had a really good time working with my mom and her two friends: worked on the three fundamentals (trunk alignment/hip hinge, hip mobility, arms) and they were quick learners. I think it will help with their aches and pains.

After they left, I ran through some dynamic warm-ups and did a whole mile on the track. Felt like shit. Even at 7:00 pace my throat hurt like hell.

Didn't do much at all the rest of the day...pretty weak...

Interestingly: just having some bad feelings about Chelsea, almost as if she's slipping away. I feel really bad about how I left her hanging with the email situation, but there's some other negative energy there... HARD to deal with being away...
