Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Decided to do some more real-time running on the TM at lunch. I've felt a little haggard in the legs, so I figured I needed to hone in on the stride, and keep the mileage down today.
Got my iPod (listened to some old URP's), and even strapped on the Polar HRM that connects into the TM, and got the twin cameras going on the big screen in front of me.
Didn't track HR too much in the first couple miles, but then went for "MAF" - how fast I could go at 150HR. Did pretty good: averaged UNDER 150 for two miles, both at 6:45.
Pretty good for basically a month off, and only a week back at running. Moreover, I got my allergy shot today (2hrs before) and *usually* feel like shit on these days. My goal for June '14 is to have that MAF down to the low 6s. It just has to be there to achieve what I want to do.
After that, I worked a couple hours, then went home, got my swim gear and hit the pool. Felt GREAT. No leg work - all arms + the swim buoy between the legs. Swam for 30min, and the stroke felt pretty solid. Really worked on my head down/level trunk in the water, keeping my legs elevated. Busy in the pool but not too annoying.
After: some grocery shopping, ate, and read, before my night time chat with Chels. About 3/4 done with "Getting the Love You Want". A MUST-READ for...EVERYONE. So compelling.
