w/ JK to keep her focused. Felt great! Could easily have done that 10" faster. Looking back on previous year, my milage is down. However, the quality of my training is up. Way up. So right now I probably have some decent speed to work with. But I should still start to increase miles if I want to be competitive with the top local guys this coming season.

I added a few more 300m reps on my own as I don't have to race this Saturday like JK does.

The most memorable part of this workout will probably be the incident afterward. After talking to, and finally introducing myself to, that older Chinese gentleman, we were leaving the Field House, about to enter the parking lot when two guys stopped us. They motioned for us to go back in a concerned manner. That's when we heard shouting and several "pops." Thinking the worst,I ran as fast as I could back to the Field House doors where I called 9-1-1. Turns out the RNC opened fire on a suspect involved in car break-ins who was trying to flee. They later caught him but all our cars were stuck in the parking lot while they compiled evidence. JK, MC, SF, and KMacB were all forced to leave our rides there.
