DIX

February 27, 2014 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Dark, 35, windy (I don't pay enough attention, but I remember it being very cloudy) Pretty much all the snow had melted, leaving a layer of dark brown frozen mud in the parking lot

Comments:
After some drills and strength work directed by Jason (lunges, cycles, pushups, jumping jacks) the distance runners headed to Friendship park for drills; I had heard we would be doing BK, but Sedgewick would have delighted me equally; not so! We only warmed up in the park and then proceeded to BK where we did one full hill, two half hills at a faster pace all the way up to the oddly shaped tree then another full hill, focusing on the second half, one more half hill, then a final full hill taking it easy, but running a pickup from Chain bridge road to the intersection of Loughboro and jogging to school from there. Like my counterpart, I was not nervous and just took care of business. I felt in shape and enjoyed others pushing me, but still had a lot left and found myself wishing for a tempo by the time we returned to Nebraska. Planks for 2:00 and 15 leg lifts per leg after stretching.
