It was just a matter of time before I had a bad day. I had let myself think things were going too well and just didn't deliver today. Billy and Timmy stopping by practice made it seem even more of a throwback to freshman or sophomore year. I was neither calm, cool nor collected. I felt that I had been running well for the first half, then all of a sudden it was though the 1-minute recoveries we'd been doing had no effect and then I got so inconsistent and so far away from everyone else that I was running alone again. After the 11th one, Anthony told me to jog across the field and then jump in at the 200m, where I still couldn't stay with them. Then we took a lap and did another 200m, for which I ran 32. Frustrating day when I thought I was in better shape.
